Robert A. Rosch Jr. VIEW PROFILE

 

Rosch, Rev. Robert Bob August 64, of Columbia, MO, passed away on June 10, 2016 at 9:29 p.m. surrounded by his children in his own home. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the first born child of Mary Ellen (Stack) and Robert Rosch on November 29, 1951. He was a 1969 graduate of Hazelwood High School. He was a proud member of Pipecovers Local 1 Union out of St. Louis for 36 years. He was the owner and operator of Honest Bob's Pets in Baden, MO for several years. He was the original white Harlem Globetrotter, an author, lawyer, professional dancer, songwriter, architect, and inventor of everything. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, music and sports, especially his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He was an internet ordained reverend and performed the marriage ceremony of his son and daughter-in-law and other loved ones. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and friends and to listen to his grandchildren laughing and playing. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Judy Michel, fiancée Paula Dover and several close friends. Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Mickey (Frank) Ulery of Louisville, KY; daughter Melinda Mindy (Tony) Ulstad of Jefferson City, MO; daughter Bethany Beth Rosch (William Lavender) of New Orleans, LA; son Nicholas (Hannah) Rosch of Columbia, MO; step-son Aaron Dover of Kansas City, MO; step-son Eric Dover of Columbia, MO; grandchildren Trever Ulstad, Nikolas Rosch, and Roxana and Celeste Lavender; niece Margaret Maggie (Neal) Donaldson of St. Louis, MO; and nephews Nick Ulery of Louisville, KY and James Michel and Robert Reed of St. Louis, MO. Services: Per Bob's wishes, no formal ceremony will be held. A celebration of his life will occur on June 18th at 4:00 pm at the home of Nick and Hannah Rosch, 3009 Greenridge Road, Columbia, MO. In lieu of flowers, please register to vote and be sure you vote in the upcoming elections. As dad always said, If you don't vote, don't complain. So sorry to hear about Bob's passing.  My wife Teri & I lived close to the pet store in Baden the 1st few years we were married & loved to visit with him there.  Loved his stories & to recall high school days with him.  He'll be missed, he was an original!!!

Bob and I were in Ms. Swanson's art class our sophomore year.  He kept everyone in stitches with his humor!  Always very pleasant and funny.  He would sing for us too, "Devil With the Blue Dress", still think of him when I hear that song today.  Thank you for those fun times Bob! Rest in Peace.
