Scott A. Maine VIEW PROFILE

We are sad to announce the passing of Scott A. Maine on May 16, 2024, a hardworking carpenter from Foley, Missouri. He was born on April 19, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa. Scott lived a fulfilling life full of passions for photography, drawing and travel, with a special love for Hawaii. 

He also enjoyed fishing, swimming and spending time on boats. Scott also cherished the outdoors, finding joy in bird watching and was an animal lover. Scott never missed an opportunity to spend time with and support his family throughout their lives. As a proud father and grandfather, he always made time to attend his children's sporting events, showing unwavering love and dedication. He will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Florence Rosetta (Bright) Maine and Thomas Orin Maine, his grandparents Ralph Windsor Maine and Bernice Margaret (Thomas) Maine, Laureen (Hill) Bright and Lloyd Bright and his nephew Coulter Willis. 

Survivors include his son David Maine of Maryland Heights, Missouri; daughters: Misty (John) Rollins of New Harmony, Indiana, and Hope (John Thomas) Maine of Foley, Missouri; brother Larry (Donna) Maine of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters: Suzanne (Bob) Theismann of Winfield, Missouri and Jerri Maine of Troy, Missouri; grandchildren: Brittiany, Jonathan, Piper, Sebastian, Ryland and Jordan; great-grandson Levi and a great-granddaughter from Ryland expected in October. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Valhalla Chapel of Memories, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63133. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will follow services and Scott will be laid to rest in the Garden Mausoleum at Valhalla Cemetery at a later date.
